Paris Trip

Paris 2016On the 11th June, 40 4th years and 4 teachers will be going to Paris on a residential trip. We have a packed schedule and pupils will have plenty of opportunities to have fun with friends and practice their French.

On Saturday we will be travelling to Hull and taking the overnight ferry to Zeebrugge. Sunday will be spent travelling down through Belgium and France to Paris. We will spend the afternoon and evening taking in the sights of Paris before heading to our hotel.

We plan to take a boat trip on the Seine and spend some time at Notre Dame Cathedral and the Pompidou Centre before boarding the métro underground to get to the Eiffel Tower!

Monday is our first full day in France and is a day for shopping and sightseeing. We’ll be heading into the city centre early and our first stop will be the famous Louvre museum where we will see the Mona Lisa painting amongst other things.

We will then have a leisurely walk up the Champs Elysée before heading on the métro to La Grande Arche de la Défense where we will have lunch and time for shopping.

Next we will climb the many steps of l’Arc de Triomphe and from the top of this monument we will be able to watch the crazy driving around the roundabout which has 12 roads leading into and off it with no road markings whatsoever!

Finally we will spend our evening in the Montmatre area where we will have some time for dinner and a visit to the tourist shops!

On Tuesday we’re off to Disneyland! We’ll spend the full day here before boarding our bus and heading to Calais for a very late night ferry back to Dover.

On Wednesday we’ll travel back to school on a very quiet coach as we’ll all be so tired!
