Family Learning Worker

Introducing Scott: looking at learning from the parent’s point of view.

My name’s Scott. I’m Inveralmond’s new family learning worker.

If you’re looking to help support learning but unsure how you can, I’m here to listen.

My background is in adult learning, and I’m not a school teacher. I look at learning from the parent or carer’s perspective. I want to hear from you about what we can do differently.

That’s why every Tuesday in November from 5 to 6 pm, I’m holding a drop-in session for parents, family and carers of Inveramond pupils. Come to the community café at Inveralmond ICHS for

  • An informal chat over a cup of tea
  • Confidential advice about learning (private room available)
  • Or let me know what learning for parents and families YOU would like to see at Inveralmond

The family learning role is supported by the Pupil Equity Fund – so we need to hear from YOU about how we can a make a difference for all.

Every Tuesday in November (7th, 14th, 21st, 28th) from 5 to 6 pm. If you can’t make a Tuesday, but want to speak to me, contact the school on 01506 438 093 and ask for an appointment.
