The camp will take place on dates to be confirmed in 2018 and involves the following cluster primary schools:-

  • Harrysmuir
  • Letham
  • Livingston Village
  • Peel
  • Toronto
  • Riverside

Several high school staff will also be involved. Pupils are welcome to participate whether attending Inveralmond or another High school.

The residential cost includes transportation, food, accommodation and a full adventure activity programme that includes flying fox, night walks, rope courses, tree climbs, problem solving and many other activities. The week ends with the very popular Disco and BBQ.

All pupils will be placed in their high school tutor groups during activities which will provide the opportunity to build relationships with their new classmates. At all other times pupils are in their primary groups.

We feel the residential will alleviate many fears that pupils may have about the transition that is about to take place. The peer and staff relationships that are built during the residential, as well as the sense of achievement both individually and in group-work, are a positive step in the move from primary to high school.

Further details will follow from your child’s primary school.
